Formed in Osaka in 1981, Loudness became one of Japan's best-known heavy metal bands and built an international following with its fast, technically accomplished guitar sound. The group's history includes the landmark album Thunder in the East, which helped introduce the band to a wider audience beyond Japan. Loudness is especially recognized for guitarist Akira Takasaki's virtuosic playing and for songs such as “Crazy Nights.”

The May 12 performance is listed as the band's date at Whisky A Go Go. No tour name or opening act is specified in the event information. At a compact Sunset Strip club, the band's energetic metal sound is set to meet a close-up crowd, with the surrounding West Hollywood nightlife adding to the occasion.

Prices currently start around $40 for this type of smaller venue event, with final prices varying by availability and ticket selection.
